There are many great features of CodeIgniter which makes it suppress other frameworks. I know there are also many disadvantages in CI but who cares, its a law of nature; no creature is perfect in itself. Let us mention some key features of CI.

-No Authentication class, well we have written one for us. It is derived from SimpleLogin.
-No Ajax support.
Well there are lot of 3rd party classes which can fulfill these.
